VNEW has started its first musical instrument teaching workshop – “Beginning Ukulele” – a free three-month introductory class for veterans to learn how to play the ukulele.

In observance of Veterans Day, The Veterans National Entertainment Workshop and the Battleship Iowa honor veterans – living and deceased – for their service and sacrifices with a FREE ONLINE CONCERT featuring veterans and active military performing songs of unity, togetherness and friendship.

In observance of Patriot Day, The American Legion Ronald Reagan-Palisades Post 283 and The Veterans National Entertainment Workshop honor the heroes on the front lines of the pandemic with a free online concert “Salute to First Responders”.

For veterans, especially those living alone or without support systems, these are difficult times filled with anxiety and stress. Necessities, healthcare and housing are critical.
